Cookie Policy, Erudiam
This English version is a translation provided for information only. The French version is the only authentic text and prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
Introduction
This cookie policy (the "Policy") explains how ERUDIAM uses cookies and similar technologies when you use its website (https://erudiam.com), its web application (https://erudiam.com/en-GB/dashboard) and its mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the "Service").
It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how we process your personal data.
The controller is Jean de Loynes, trading as ERUDIAM, a self-employed sole trader (natural person) under Belgian law, enterprise number (Crossroads Bank for Enterprises) BE 1043.189.468, whose address is Avenue du Préau 20, 1040 Etterbeek, Belgium ("ERUDIAM", "We", "Us" or "Our").
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. It makes it possible to recognise your device and remember certain information (for example your session or your language).
This Policy also covers other technologies that store or read information on your device, such as your browser's local storage ("localStorage", "sessionStorage", "IndexedDB"), the application cache or the storage of the mobile applications. For simplicity, we refer to all of them as "cookies".
What rule applies?
In Belgium, Article 10/2 of the Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data provides that storing information on your device, or accessing information already stored on it, is only permitted if you have been given clear and precise information about the purposes of the processing and have consented to it.
This rule does not apply to cookies whose sole purpose is to carry out the transmission of a communication or which are strictly necessary to provide a service that you have expressly requested. These cookies may therefore be used without your consent.
Which cookies do we use?
The Service uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, which do not require your consent. On the website only, and only if you accept them, it also uses audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics), described below.
We do not use any advertising, targeting or social media cookies.

Third-party services
Some technical services built into the Service may use their own cookies or similar technologies, strictly necessary for them to work:
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.): when protection is enabled, it protects the sign-up and sign-in forms against bots;
- Stripe: when you take out a subscription, Stripe's secure payment page uses its own cookies, which are necessary for payment and fraud prevention.
For more information on how these providers process your data, see our Privacy Policy.
Audience measurement cookies (subject to your consent)
On the website only, and only if you accept it, we use Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to measure how the site is used: pages viewed, where visits come from, sign-up steps and clicks. This information helps us understand what works and improve the site.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Ireland Limited | Distinguishing visitors | 13 months |
| _ga_<identifier> | Google Ireland Limited | Keeping the state of the measurement session | 13 months |
Google Analytics is loaded by Google Tag Manager, a Google tool that does not set any cookie itself. Google Tag Manager is only loaded once you have given your consent: until you accept audience measurement, no Google script is loaded and none of these cookies is set.
The mobile applications do not use Google Analytics.
To find out more about this processing (data concerned, legal basis, transfers, retention period), see section 3 of our Privacy Policy.
Is there any cookie that requires your consent?
Yes: the Google Analytics audience measurement cookies described above. They are only set once you have given your consent, in the banner displayed when you arrive on the website.
This banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. The "Accept all" and "Reject all" buttons are presented equally, and no box is pre-ticked. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and does not deprive you of any feature of the Service.
You can withdraw your consent or change your choices at any time, as easily as you gave them, using the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page of the website or, in your account, from the "Account" > "Privacy" tab. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: measurement stops and the Google Analytics cookies are deleted from your browser.
Your choice, whether consent or refusal, is kept for 6 months. After that period, the banner is shown to you again.
If we add other cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this Policy before they go live and ask for your consent before any of them is set.
How can you manage cookies in your browser?
You can set your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) at any time to block or delete cookies and local storage. The steps vary from one browser to another: please consult the help page of the browser you use.
Please note: if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies (in particular the session cookie), you will no longer be able to sign in or use the Service.
Do you have any questions or a complaint?
For any question about cookies or your data, you can write to us at privacy@erudiam.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
