About Erudiam
Erudiam is a training platform for EU selection procedures: EPSO competitions and the CAST selection. Behind that rather dry sentence sits a simple idea. Sitting an EU competition is a long, demanding and often lonely undertaking. We would rather nobody went through it underprepared purely for want of access to decent training.

This page sets out why we exist, how the platform is built, and what we commit to.
Why Erudiam exists
An EU competition means tens of thousands of applications for a few hundred places, procedures that keep evolving, and scattered, sometimes outdated information. Some candidates go in with people around them who have already sat the tests and know what is coming. Others start with nothing to go on. Two applications can look alike on paper and still not be running the same race.
That gap is the one we are trying to close. We want serious training to be within reach of as many people as possible, whatever country they live in, whatever language they think most easily in, whatever kit they happen to own. The platform runs in eight interface languages, on the web and on mobile, and we would rather add a way in than an obstacle.
The goal is not to pile on stress with anxiety-inducing league tables, but to take some away. Knowing what is coming, having already had a go at it, being able to see where you stand: that is what turns a test you dread into a test that is merely hard.
What the platform offers
Complete training for the tests in EU selection procedures, from reasoning to EU knowledge, available on the web and on mobile, in eight interface languages.
- Practice questions for every test: verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning, EU knowledge, digital skills and the EUFTE written test.
- Spaced repetition to make what you learn stick, session after session.
- Mock exams in the official format: the parameters (number of questions, durations, pass scores) come from the published notices and are never hard-coded.
- A readiness index that tracks your progress test by test, adapted to your target competition.
- Sourced public pages on the competitions, the tests and the calendar, each with its verification date.
Built for a life that is already full
Candidates for EU competitions rarely have their days to themselves. They are already working, often full time. Many have children, a commute, evenings that are not entirely their own. Preparation has to slip into the gaps: a quarter of an hour on the train, ten minutes before a meeting that starts late, in the evening once the house has gone quiet. Nobody has a computer to hand at moments like those.
So we did not want a tool that requires you to sit down at a desk. On phone and tablet, the daily training fits in one hand: the question of the day, a targeted set on the test that keeps tripping you up, a review that spaced repetition brings back at the right moment. A useful session can last five minutes.
The day you want to work under real conditions, a computer is what you need. The actual test is taken on a screen, in full-screen mode, against the clock, with no possibility of interruption, and that is exactly what the real-conditions test reproduces. The two ways of working are quite different and do not call for the same device. Your progress, though, follows you from one to the other: in the evening on the sofa you pick up where you left off at your desk at lunchtime.

We get things wrong, and we want to know
Our questions are built from the official EU sources, and every claim carries its reference and its verification date. That is not enough to make us infallible. In a question bank of this size, mistakes get through: an article number that moved when a text was recast, a fine point of a standard read a little too quickly, a question that quietly goes out of date because the text behind it has changed.
Rather than pretend otherwise, we prefer to say so. Some parts of the bank are recent and still being built; where that is the case, we tell you before you start. And if a question looks wrong to you, flag it. We look at it again, check it against the text and correct it.
If you know the field, better still: send us your sources, the texts you would have relied on, what the test actually asked of you. Our best corrections come from candidates and practitioners who know their subject better than we do. That loop is one we mean to keep open: it moves the app forward more surely than any redesign decided internally.
Our commitments
These rules guide every page and every question on the platform. They are verifiable: most of them are enforced by automated checks.
- No claim without a source: every official parameter carries its reference and its verification date.
- Test parameters come from the notices published in the EU Official Journal, not from values copied second-hand.
- Every flagged question is re-examined. When we have got it wrong, we correct it, and we do not pretend otherwise.
- No promise of success: a competition remains selective. We promise serious training, not a result.
- Independence: Erudiam is not affiliated with EPSO or with the EU institutions.
- Your data stays yours: GDPR compliance, with export and deletion available from your account.
Who we are
Erudiam is a European project, built in Europe for European candidates. Full details of the publisher and the legal information are in the legal notice, kept up to date on this site.
A question, a correction to report, a suggestion, a disagreement with the way we have handled a topic? The contact page is there for that, and we read it. Candidate feedback shapes the roadmap directly.
