Last updated: 20 July 2026. Version: 0.2 (soft launch — consumer references migrated from French to Belgian law on 2026-07-20; draft to be validated by a Belgian lawyer before publication).
1. Purpose
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern access to and use of concours-eu (the "Service"), an online platform preparing candidates for European Union competitions (EPSO), available via:
- web app:
https://erudiam.com(canonical domain, see ADR 0023) - iOS and Android mobile apps (planned)
The publisher of the Service is identified in the Legal Notice.
2. Acceptance
Use of the Service implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms by the user (the "User"). By clicking "Sign up", the User acknowledges having read and accepted the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
The publisher reserves the right to amend the Terms. Material changes are notified 15 days before entry into force (in-app banner plus email to active accounts).
3. Description of the Service
The Service provides:
- a multi-module question bank (verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning, digital skills, EU knowledge, EUFTE) available in 8 European Union languages (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese);
- an FSRS spaced-repetition algorithm;
- timed mock exams (full and per-module);
- an adaptive placement test;
- a performance dashboard by module and subtopic;
- anonymous leaderboards (opt-in);
- push reminders (granular opt-in);
- an EUFTE training mode (written essays) with private link for friend review.
The Service is offered free of charge during the soft launch. Introduction of a paid tier (P5.i) will be subject to prior notice and explicit acceptance.
4. User account
4.1. Creation
The User creates an account with email and password and warrants the accuracy of the information provided. Account creation is reserved to persons aged at least 15 (the publisher's chosen threshold, above the Belgian digital-consent age of 13 set by Article 7 of the Act of 30 July 2018). The Service de facto targets adult EPSO candidates.
4.2. Credentials
The User is responsible for keeping credentials confidential. Activity on the account is deemed performed by the User. In case of suspected compromise, the User must change the password and contact support@erudiam.com.
4.3. Deletion
The User may delete the account anytime via Settings → Account → Delete. Deletion triggers:
- 14-day soft-delete (cancellable in the same menu);
- then irreversible hard-delete: auth user + profile + answers
- sessions + streaks + push subs + leaderboard + EUFTE + scheduled_deletion.
The publisher may suspend or delete an account that breaches these Terms (see Section 7).

5.2. User content
The User remains owner of their content (EUFTE essays, report comments). The User grants the publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, and display such content strictly to operate the Service (e.g. share an essay with a friend via the EUFTE private link).
The User undertakes not to publish unlawful, defamatory, infringing, indecent content, or content harmful to third-party rights.
5.3. Reports and moderation
Users may report erroneous questions. Abusive reporting (spam, harassment, repeated false reports) may result in restriction of this feature.
6. User obligations

- not access data other than their own;
- not bypass security (RLS, rate limiting);
- not perform mass extraction of the question bank (automated scraping is prohibited, sui generis database right);
- not publicly redistribute protected content (question bank);
- not create multiple accounts to bypass quotas (1 full mock / 14 days, 1 module mock / day, etc.);
- not use the

7. Sanctions
In case of breach, the publisher may, at its discretion and proportionately:
- warn the User;
- temporarily restrict access to specific features (e.g. reports, leaderboards, EUFTE);
- temporarily suspend the account;
- permanently delete the account (with prior email notice except in security emergencies).
Users have a right of appeal by email to support@erudiam.com.
8. Service availability
The publisher uses reasonable efforts to keep the Service accessible 24/7 but does not guarantee continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for:
- scheduled maintenance (notified if >30 minutes);
- emergency maintenance (security);
- subprocessor outages (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare).
During soft launch / beta, the User acknowledges the Service may contain bugs and agrees to report anomalies.
9. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" as a preparation tool. The publisher is not liable for:
- competition outcomes at EPSO;
- residual inaccuracies in questions or answers, EPSO's publications remain authoritative;
- data loss outside the publisher's control (subprocessor outage, force majeure), the User is encouraged to use the export feature to preserve their data;
- use of the Service in breach of the Terms.
Within the limits of applicable law, indirect damages, loss of chance, and data loss other than that directly attributable to a proven fault of the publisher are excluded.
Nothing herein limits the publisher's liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or breach of an essential obligation that would deprive the contract of its substance.
